There is something about weekend mornings. Especially right now when its cold out and its appropriate to wear beanies inside and out. I love sunday mornings, my ritual begins with coffee and continues with cozying up in layers of soft scarfs and comfy clothes while catching up on happenings online with my iPad and setting the chill mood with some good tunes. This Abercrombie scarf is so soft and perfect for getting through these cold winter months. It keeps me warm when I step outside and hit the streets for shoots and adventures and wearing it inside, sort of feels like a big cozy hug as well. Loving their holiday collection, everything is on my wish list these days. Winter with Abercrombie is looking real comfy cozy. Photos by Dylana Suarez

Jacket by Finders Keepers, Sweater by Vans, Skirt by FifthLabel, Booties by Wolverine

There is something about plaid that brings that extra level of casual to an outfit. Maybe because it automatically feels like you are stealing from your boyfriends closet? Who knows, but it usually fuels my adventurous side in some peculiar way. This Vans sweater will go on some sort of a nature walk this winter! Promised! Probably to whistler on a snowy day combined with a little nature walk. For now though, I took it to the city and amped up the sporty chic with this insanely amazing Finders Keepers bomber jacket. Love the mixed fabrics on this piece, there are so many ways to wear it. Speaking of coats, I feel like I am currently experiencing my first real cold winter moment in Vancouver. Its been a while and I keep getting tricked into blue sky meaning warm. Today its the opposite! So bundling up even with blue sky is key from now on out. Note to self. Photos by Aaron Schwartz

I am so excited to let you in on a little tour, through behind the scenes of the Aritzia head offices. The beautiful airy and brick walled work spaces are located in Vancouver's Railtown, neighborhood over looking the mountains of North Vancouver, where I was born! I grew up shopping at Aritzia and in many ways it was the first fashion spot I drew inspiration from, for what I wished my wardrobe looked like when I was a teenager. I use to wander through the West Vancouver store, pretending I was actually styling their window mannequins. What so many of you dont know is that the now, international boutique chain store, that has huge flag ship stores in New York and San Francisco was born here in Vancouver. Its surreal to have watched it grow and so exciting to see something every Vancouver girl grew up with, spread its wings and grow onto the big city fashion girls wish list. The head office reflects the mood of each store and their very west coast beautifully laid back culture. It is bright and airy with splashes of color in the furniture and art on the walls, that has appeared in the stores across the country throughout the years. My favorite room, the reception area in one of the 3 zones of the building they are housed in. It is colorful, cozy, bright and very inviting all at the same time. The offices boast this energy of being inspired and influenced by the beautiful scenery of Vancouver and its surroundings. As well as an amazing team hard at work creating future collections we will all crave for our own closets and we don't even know about it yet. Aritzia has 13 of their own collections all absolutely to die for and styled with a slightly different girl in mind. What I love so much is that they create timeless pieces you will catch yourself needing in every color. I love draping myself in layers of Aritzia, they have the perfect pieces for fall layering.  Wilfred and Babaton are two of my favorites. Both have the best coats and staples for every season. This Babaton coat is straight out of my wish list dreams. It is feminine yet structured and the grey color is perfect for day to day looks all winter long. Speaking of winer must haves, the gold star for the perfect cozy turtle neck sweater goes to Aritzia as well, it is the coziest piece I currently own and so perfect for a chilly winter day. I topped off this fall look with their signature blanket scarf. It is a scarf, a cape and a great make shift hood when it suddenly starts raining around here. The color combos are all perfection, as per everything that Aritzia puts their name on. I am so happy to have had the chance to take everyone into a little glimpse of what it looks like behind the beautiful wooden doors of where the Aritzia magic happens and also happens to share the same home town as I do.
